Choosing Door Handles And Knobs For Your Bifolds
category :
Bifold
Just because your bifold doors have been installed with the intention of hiding away your messy wardrobe and laundry or for opening up your home to the spectacular views surrounding it does not mean that you cannot choose some fun and attractive bifold handles and knobs to go with them. Make your bifolds a real feature of your home with the addition of some new door handles and knobs:
Look at your wall colour and the colour of your bifolds – if you have dark walls but light doors, choosing dark handles or knobs will really make the doors stand out. If your walls and bifolds are the same colour, choose a handle or knob colour that will blend in.
Look at the finish of the other furniture and accessories of the room and try to match the handle or knob to these, either by choosing a dominant colour (such as black) or material (such as wrought iron).
Look at the style or theme of the room – if your bifolds are located in a space with Victorian style furniture or a child’s play room, choose knobs and handles accordingly (ornate and bejeweled for the former and bright and theme-shaped for the latter).
Look at how your bifolds are used – if they’re in a guest room, then decorative knobs are no problem, but if they’re in a child’s bedroom you should opt for handles that are easy to grab.
Your bifold doors could really tie together the style or theme of your room, as long as you choose knobs and handles that are appropriate. Keep in mind that the aesthetic appeal of your bifold handles is not the only factor that you will have to take into account – the knobs must also be easy to use.
